Code Geass R2 – 25 [END]

by ETERNAL on September 29, 2008

We’ve sure come a long way since the beginning, haven’t we? Through the American history, through the Death Note-esque foreshadowing, and through the complexity surrounding the power of Geass – at the end of it all, the conclusion awaits. Was it good? Bad? Did it even make sense? At the moment, mixed opinions are likely circling the internets, but there’s one thing I know for sure by now: this show isn’t bad. In fact, it’s probably quite good.

[Doujin Soft] – La Soeur de Barrage

by ETERNAL on September 26, 2008

It’s a shmup, and it’s controlled by mouse. Isn’t that enough to pique the curiosity of any self-proclaimed bullet dodger?

Karui Shosetsu Magazine Released!

 pcoveryi0 Karui Shosetsu Magazine Released!

Not sure how well known or obscure these guys are in the otaku community, but I just wanted to do my part in spreading the word of this one-of-a-kind English language Light Novel Magazine. You can find more info at their official blog (linked above) or at their site LightNovel, but the bottom line is that they’re working toward improving the light novel industry in English speaking countries, and that’s something that I can definitely commend.

taro aso 42503954 206x300 Taro Rozen Aso becomes Japans new Prime Minister

I’m not going to pretend to know anything about Japanese politics (hence the lack of an elaborate writeup), but for those of you who haven’t yet heard, the (in)famous Taro Aso has now become the prime minister of Japan. If you don’t know who he is yet, google Rozen Aso or just read DarkMirage’s post on him. Whether this will be good or bad for the country, I couldn’t say, but there’s one thing I CAN say; who wouldn’t want to live in a country with an otaku prime minister?

Code Geass R2 – 24

I’ll resist my urge to put that pic on the front page to spare those unfortunate enough to not be following this show yet.

On this day precisely one year ago, the 18th of September 2007, a legend of anime was born. After 11 episodes of mind-bendingly ridiculous “romance”, drama, and character interactions, after witnessing the actions of quite possibly the worst and most (in)famous harem lead ever, and after revolutionizing the way the world would see visual novel adaptations in the future, we came to a single jaw-dropping conclusion. Yup, that’s right, people. It’s Nice Boat Day.
